MASHIMARO
Mashimaro is a Korean cartoon series that has become hugely popular. Mashimaro roughly translates into Marshmallow except the pronunciation is a little bit unusual like the way a baby might say it when learning to speak. Mashimaro is the main character and is a slightly tubby rabbit with an unusual personality.
Mashi looks like a marshmallow with a small bite taken out of him. Most people find that they completely fall in love with him or they do not. He is not a typical cutsie rabbit that hops around happily. He feels neglected because he is different from the other rabbits. He has a warped personality that causes him to act in strange ways that don’t fit into societal norms at all.
Not only is he sarcastic and negative about himself that doesn’t endear him to others, but he acts in an outrageous fashion that involves things like farting. Mashi is really just looking for his own identity and isn’t having much luck yet.
Mashi lives in Mashimaro forest with many other interesting characters. Boogaloo and Booma are a father and baby bear combo that are learning lots of life’s lessons also. Pista and Pistachi are two monkeys. There is a ram called Mero that has many anger issues to deal with and Noonoo the decrepit-looking dog. Overlooking the entire forest crew is our token member of authority, an overweight pig that hasn’t reached the self-actualization stage in his life. Enjoy a t-shirt celebrating this eccentric team of forest creatures.
