INVADER ZIM
Our main character, Zim had a chance on his planet to be a part of operation Impending Doom. It didn’t go well so Zim was sent to a tiny and unimportant planet called Earth where he must go to school. Only one other kid, Dib, seems to notice that Zim has green skin and no ears. Dib ends up being Zim’s rival. After all, Zim still has big plans to rule the world.
This show actually has the odd appearance of its own creator, Jhonen Vasquez. Zim refers to him as ‘too ugly’. Vasquez is also the creator of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Filler Bunny, Squee, the “I Feel Sick” issues and others. This is a very talented person with a superb future in animation. Other fab characters here are Gir, Gaz, The Almighty Tallest, Keef, Squirrels (The Evil Ones), Professor Membrane and Ms. Bitters.
You have to check out this show if you haven’t. There is fun around every corner. For example, Keefe loves Zim. He was his best friend for a while but sadly, got eaten by a squirrel. Ms. Bitters is Zim’s rather unhappy teacher at school. She is a wee bit angry at the world. A famous quotation from her loveliness is, “Doom, Doom, Doom, Go home now!”
