DROWNING POOL

The band who emerged as the new stars from Ozzfest 2001.

Drowning Pool’s’s debut album released in 2001, proved to the metal world, who was number one. Within weeks the band had following of fans that continued to grow by the thousands. Their debut album, Sinner, has gone platinum and features the hit smashing single – “Bodies”. This track swept the charts and rocked the stations. Drowning Pool had become so popular because their music was something the youth of the nations could relate to. Music that speaks to its fans is not only heard by the ears, but by the soul.

Drowning Pool is from Dallas, Texas and is made up of four band members: Stevie Benton (bass), Mike Luce (drums), Christian Joseph Pierce (guitar), and Dave Williams (vocals). The band named themselves after the same-titled movie, and spent two years on the Dallas music scene making their music known, and defining a name for themselves. In 1999 after they released their first demo, Drowning Pool began to attract attention outside of their hometown.

Landing a contract with Wind-Up Records, the band created Sinner and began to tour with the success of their debut album. Tragedy befriended the group shortly after, when they found Williams dead in their tour bus.

Their music is still in high motion and their fans are still numerous in support. To honor this great band you can now wear a Drowning Pool T-Shirt. Uniquely designed to symbolize the bands image there is no wonder why it’s been what the fans have been waiting for!
